Techland has announced that it is pushing back the first main story DLC for Dying Light 2: Stay Human to September. It was originally planned to be released sometime this summer.
“Dear pilgrims, your feedback always has the highest priority for us, and we want to be honest and transparent with you,” says Techland in its demonstration. “We still need a little more time to develop the first DLC in the story. It is now planned to be released in September.”
Techland explained that the team has been adding additional features such as New Game Plus mode, a field of view slider for consoles, and co-op improvements for Dying Light 2 over the past few months. Additionally, there will be new content in June called “Chapter 1: In the Footsteps of a Night Runner”. It’s a new gameplay chapter that features a new progression system, new enemies and rewards, and various missions and rewards, as well as a highly requested photo mode.
With history’s first DLC set to release in September, it looks like Techland is planning to release Chapter 2 content by November as well. Techland also continues to promise 5 years of support for Dying Light 2, with a second story DLC coming later with even more content.

Techland actually supported the first Dying Light game earlier this month, allowing players to upgrade to the Enhanced Edition of the game for free.
In GameSpot’s review of Dying Light 2: Stay Human, we said, “It’s rough and asks players to invest heavily in their weakest element, but when you realize that story, like gravity, is only going to bring you down, you can start challenging it and enjoying the things that Dying Light 2 really does well.”
