Genshin Impact update 2.7 will arrive later than originally scheduled, developer miHoYo has confirmed. The studio revealed on Facebook that the Version 2.7 live stream – which would have revealed the update’s release date – has been “temporarily” delayed. To soften the blow, miHoYo has revealed some new phone wallpapers that fans can download.
On Twitter, the release delay news was also confirmed on this platform. “Due to the progress of the project, the 2.7 update will be delayed”, the tweet reads. “For detailed information about the new update date, content adjustment plan and compensation, stay tuned for upcoming announcements.”

Details on the new content were also sparse, though fans are hoping that two new characters will debut in it. MiHoYo had already provoked the arrival of Yelan, an employee of the Ministry of Civil Affairs in Inazuma who wields Hydro powers, and Kuki Shinobu, a high-voltage ninja and deputy commander of the Arataki gang.
