CENTER

Ryan HartmanMIN (vs. STL) — The Minnesota Wild center scored five points (three goals, two assists) in three games against the St. Louis Blues this season. Hartman scored 65 points (34 goals, 31 assists) in 82 games, an NHL career record, breaking his previous record (31 in 76 games with the Chicago Blackhawks in 2016-2017). Kirill Kaprizov (108 points; fifth in the NHL) and forward Mats Zuccarello (second in the Wild with 1.13 points per game).

WING

Alex KillornTBL (in TOR) — The Tampa Bay Lightning forward scored five points (two goals, three assists) with 16 shots on goal in four games against the Toronto Maple Leafs, their most in any category against any team this season. Killorn is also a great playoff player and ranked third in the Lightning in points per game (0.89) during the 2021 Stanley Cup, behind elite forwards. Nikita Kucherov (1.39) and Brayden Point (1.00). The Lightning scored 16 goals in their four games against the Maple Leafs this season.

DEFENSE

Tony De AngeloCAR (vs. BOS) — The Carolina Hurricanes defender scored four points (one goal, three assists) in three games against the Boston Bruins this regular season. DeAngelo had the best points-per-game average of his NHL career (0.80; 51 points in 64 games) in his first season with Carolina. The Hurricanes won all three games against the Bruins in the regular season, beating them 16-1.

GOLAI

Mike SmithEDM (vs. LAK) — The Edmonton Oilers goalkeeper ended the regular season on a nine-game winning streak with two shutouts in the period. The 40-year-old had the best defense percentage in the NHL in April (0.951) among those who played at least three games. Smith was 2-0-0 with 0.938 SV% against the Los Angeles Kings in the regular season and is 10-4-0 with 0.912 SV% and a shutout in 15 games at home. The Kings will be without the best defender Drew Doughty (wrist surgery) for the rest of the season.
