Rights and bugs for PS5, PS4 and PC get release date and English localization

Today Aquaplus and Shiravune announced the release date of the upcoming Utawarerumono game “Monochrome Mobius: Toki no Taika”, titled in English “Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs”

You heard right, the game will be released in English on day one by Shiravune.

It will be released on September 8 for PS5, PS4 and PC via Steam. It is currently unknown if the English version will come to PS5 and PS4, but the PC version is confirmed by Shiravune.

A new JRPG from AQUAPLUS, announced in celebration of 20 years of their successful franchise Utawarerumono. Produced by legendary composer Naoya Shimokawa and written by Utawarerumono writer Munemitsu Suga, with support from the studio’s excellent art direction led by character designer Mi, Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten focuses on the heart of every great RPG: the story. .


In the small province of Ennakamuy, on the borders of the great empire of Yamato, there lived a young man with his mother and sister. One day, at the behest of the local lord, the young man was investigating a small irregularity when he encountered a girl he did not know.
The words the girl spoke were what shocked him: she told the man that his father was still alive.
Seeing in it a vestige of their father and resolving to discover the truth, the young man and the girl set out together for the land of Arva Shulan – a country that does not appear on the map.

Faced with trials and dangers, the boy pursues his father.
He meets new friends and companions who join him on his quest.
There will be struggles and victories and failures and separations.
The shifting whims of fate will mark an epoch in the young man’s hands –

And one day, this man will be sung in legends.


Voice: Kentaro Tom
A young man who lives in the border province of Ennakamuy. He lives together with his mother Torikori and younger sister Nekone, and although still young, he possesses discipline and a strong sense of right and wrong. His encounter with the mysterious Shunya gives him questions about his father’s death, and he sets out to an unknown country to find answers.

Voice: Yuko Minaguchi
A girl whose path crossed Oshtor’s by chance or fate. Without malice and still with a baby face, her words and actions create more questions than answers. She informs Oshtor that her father, whom he considered a martyr, is still alive, and the two embark on a journey together.

Voice: Saori Hayami
The daughter of Murasame, the ruler of Izumo. As demure and polite as she seems, Munechika shows signs of a warrior spirit. She helps Oshtor and joins him on his quest.

Voice: Yuya Uchida
A youth who invaded Oshtor when he was training. Mikazuchi is strong and somewhat daring, but he never bows to anything, and an undercurrent of integrity runs through everything he does. A good friend of Oshtor’s and a good rival as well, the two stimulate each other at all times.
