Sunday, May 1st, tip and solution

Welcome to another part of Wordle where we are still guessing 5 letter words after all this time. For many it has become a daily ritual, or nightly if you are me who stays up late to do Wordle every night when he changes so I can write this down. People must know the answer!

Before we dive in, if Wordle is a little too tame for you, there’s another word game floating around right now that isn’t a Wordle clone, but recommended by the guy who made Wordle. Is called Key words, and it’s essentially a little crossword puzzle with an everyday twist. I’d go look it up and check it out, it’s pretty smart and kind of genius, just like Wordle when everyone else figured it out. It could be the next big thing.

An Introduction to Wordle

Today’s Wordle #315 Answer and Tip

Before we get started, once again I’m going to start this section with a spoiler warning so you can look away now if you don’t want the real answer. If you want a tip, I can try something different and a little more direct this time to see if people like it. Just in terms of structure, this word has only one vowel, but it is used twice. That’s all I’m going to say! Hope this helps you without totally giving away. But if you want it to be donated?

The answer is…

Forget!

It’s one of those words we probably use a lot in conversation, but we don’t think about it during a puzzle like this, and I was kind of surprised that it was the answer. How did I come to this?

I started with my usual CRANE, which only gave me the R. Then I guessed RUMPS, which I’m sure the New York Times will never pick as a word, but it cleared more letters and made me lose again where the R is. with all the original letters, so I made LORDS just to try and find the vowel and placement of the R, and I found it did both. From there, I spent a good amount of time with my remaining cards until it led me to FORGO. Double Os, but not next to each other like SCOOP or something.

That’s all that’s needed today, so come back tomorrow and try Knotwords if you like. Let me know what you think about it.
