The Skywalker Saga breaks the series record

The LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has been getting a lot of love from fans after its release on April 5th. Although only a few weeks since its release, the game has already broken some impressive records. Now, Warner Brothers Games has announced that LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is their biggest LEGO game release to date.

When the game was released, it quickly became the most played Star Wars and LEGO title on Steam in a matter of hours. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga reached 82,517 players at its peak during the 24 hours of its release, beating Star Wars: Fallen Jedi Order which recorded 46,550 upon launch. More recently, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga moved more physical copies than Elden ring in the United Kingdom. As such, it would come as no surprise that the game was the biggest LEGO game release for the company.

According to the ad, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga surpassed 3.2 million sales in a two-week period and managed to break sales records “across all platforms, regions and editions”, says Warner Brothers Games. The company thanked gamers as the game tops the list of the biggest releases in LEGO gaming history.

Developed by TT Games in partnership with Lucasfilm Games, the LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga guides players through all nine Skywalker-centric films, where you can travel across the galaxy as you re-enact the iconic stories. Here, players can play a variety of recognizable characters from the movies, including Luke Skywalker, Darth Maul, Poe Dameron, and more. With new combat mechanics and extensive exploration options, the game lets you start from the beginning of any trilogy, be it The Phantom Menace, A new hopeor The Force Awakens.

Game success news comes as a refreshing change of pace for TT Games after several delays and having to deal with allegations of extensive crisis in the LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Now with the title’s current reception, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for fans of both. LEGO and Star Wars deductibles. So far, the studio has announced LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will receive seven DLC packs in total, including The Mandalorian season 2 and Star Wars: The Bad Lot packages that are scheduled to be released on the 4th of May.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is now available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
