Nintendo reveals that the new player character Shez from Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes will have a unique playable class in the game.
Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes seems to be one of Nintendo’s most anticipated and unexpected releases this year. This game took many by surprise by not just being a continuation of 2017’s Fire Emblem Warriors but also being set in an alternate 2019 timeline Fire Emblem: Three Houses. More importantly, it features all three leaders of the game’s titular house in a new adventure without Byleth, the teacher and playable avatar character of three houses.
One of the recent trailers for Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes makes it a point that instead of Byleth becoming a teacher at Garreg Mach monastery, they remain a mercenary like at the beginning of the game. In her place, a new purple-haired character known as “Shez” will take the reins as the game’s protagonist. They were defeated by Byleth, who was christened “The Ashen Demon” with Shez training and swearing revenge on them. This defeat against Byleth in the forest also leads Shez to meet the three leaders of the house.
With Shez’s role as the protagonist, they will have their own unique class to start with. In a tweet on Nintendo’s Japanese Twitter account, it highlights the details of this new class in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. According to Twitter user SatsumaFS, this class is unique to Shez and is known as Flugel. It specializes in using quick, swift attacks, using a dual-wielding sword style.
This class is similar to fire emblemThief Class, specializing in quick battlefield movements and high-speed attacks. Shez is also described as having a hidden power, as are Byleth and others. fire emblem protagonists. It’s possible that this new power is tied to another newly introduced character Arval, though the tweet states that more details about him will be shown later.
The Twitter account also revealed the voice actors for the male and female versions of Shez, Tasuku Hatanaka (Yuma Tsukumo from Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXALbroke of Genshin Impact), and Miyu Tomita (Riko de Made in the Abyss, Miko Iino from Kaguya-sama: Love is War). Players can also select between male and female versions of Shez and Byleth at the start of the game, which means no characters are gender locked. The player will also be forced to line up with one of the three squares early in the game, this choice being the branching point of the game. Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes‘ story.
Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes will be released for Nintendo Switch on June 24.
