Trump News Today: Boeing CEO Regrets Taking Over Former President’s $660 Million Deal With Air Force One

‘I’m a more honest man than you’: Trump ends interview with Piers Morgan

The Boeing CEO said on a quarterly earnings call that he regrets the company has struck a deal to convert two 747s for use by the U.S. president, a deal struck during the Trump administration that has so far cost the aerospace giant about $660. millions.

“I’ll call Air Force One a unique moment, a unique deal, a unique set of risks that Boeing probably shouldn’t have taken,” said chief executive Dave Calhoun. “But we are where we are and we are going to deliver great planes. And we will recognize the costs associated with that.”

Meanwhile, reports say a grand jury convened by the Manhattan District Attorney’s office to hear evidence against the Trump Organization could expire as investigators grapple with questions about the strength of the case against the former president.

The investigation, which has been ongoing since Trump was still in office, is focused on alleged impropriety in the Trump Organization’s financial reporting. District Attorney Alvin Bragg has insisted that the grand jury’s expiration does not mean the case is over, insisting earlier this month that “this investigation will be dictated by the facts we discover.”
