Tuesday, May 17 Solutions Guide

Welcome back Wordlers! It’s Tuesday and it’s beautiful and even though summer doesn’t officially start until June 21st, it sure looks like it has.

The good thing about Wordle is that it’s a quick and clean game, with only one answer per day. You don’t get bogged down on your phone for long, and then you’re out of your day – I hope to get out into nature and enjoy this amazing weather. (Well, I hope you’re also having amazing weather anyway. . . . ).

Today’s Wordle is number 332, which is kind of crazy when you think about it. There are a total of 2,309 Wordle responses, which means that we are only 15% of the total Wordles out there. The game has been in progress since October 2021 and has been playing for over six years from Wordle answers to browse. I’m imagining writing the 2,309th guide. . . in my late 40s!

Okay, this is a dark path that I don’t want to go down just at this point. The birds sing outside. The sun is shining. We don’t need to think about aging and the passage of time. Instead, let’s go to today’s Wordle.

Today’s Wordle Tip and Answer #332

As always, spoilers ahead. I wouldn’t want to be spoiled by reading a Wordle answer guide!

First, the tip:

The act of simply existing.

And the answer is. . . .

So my opening guess was pretty good, but it didn’t land right. According to Wordle Bot, dish will normally reduce the possible solutions to just 89, but today it fell short of 178. Alas! Crane, obviously it would have been better.

Wordle Bot didn’t like my next guess. Apparently I should have gone with the dinner rather than bye even though I’ve narrowed down the possible solutions from 178 to just 7 here. I don’t see how the dinner would have done better, but I think most of the time it would.

outputs wasn’t a great choice, and Wordle Bot definitely punched me in this one. Reign would have been better, and I agree, although I haven’t thought of reign at the time! If I had, of course, it would have given me almost all the letters I needed and made the correct answer obvious. My guess narrowed the possible answers down to just 5, but it’s still too many.

Fortunately, my next guess was the right one – a “lucky guess”, as Wordle Bot is quick to remind me. Other possible answers to this hunch include: pretend, neigh, reign, and to weight. I think I got lucky!

The word being it’s kinda interesting. It can refer to a noun—a being, perhaps a being from another planet—or it can be used as a verb. the act of simply being it’s quite Zen when you think about it. But you can also say, “You’re being mean and I don’t like it, please stop.” This is a little less peaceful, but certainly useful when we need to communicate. It’s kinder than saying You are bad or you are a bad person. the softer being implies that it is a temporary condition; you are being I mean instead of you they are I mean.

Anyway, have a great Tuesday, Wordlers! Be excellent with each other.
