Warzone Streamer hires Mariachi band to play after each win

Streamers are always looking to add an extra touch to their streams to stand out, whether it’s something as simple as an original emote to host IRL streams in unique locations. Call of Duty: Warzone gamers, in particular, have been taking the celebrations to the next level recently, offering viewers near-complete shows to commemorate deaths and victories. A streamer took this and gave it a Hispanic twist to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a full mariachi band on the stream to celebrate the holiday and their match wins.

Call of Duty: Warzone has been active since 2019, going live shortly after the release of the Infinity Ward reboot of Call of War modern weaponry. War zone serves as a free-to-play battle royale, with the fictional city of Verdansk serving as the main map when it was released. Since then, Rebirth Island and Caldera have been added as maps to coincide with the releases of Black Ops: Cold War in 2020 and Vanguard in 2021.

the mentioned War zone streamer was Facebook streamer Rexzilla, and he made his stream particularly festive on Cinco de Mayo. Rex’s three-piece mariachi band would serenade him and his spectators each win with a full performance, with Rex especially getting involved with a little dance to celebrate his victories. The clips quickly began to hit social media, giving users a glimpse of the entertainment Rex and the band he hired provided for his stream.

In addition to these clips from Rex’s broadcast, other streamers have posted clips of their own celebrations in the comments, including a clip from a HunterTV broadcast in March also featuring a mariachi celebration for War zone victories.

As mentioned, it’s the latest in an ongoing trend of over-the-top celebrations circulating on social media from streamers celebrating victories in battle royales like War zone, Fortniteand Apex Legends. Some streamers went out of their way to celebrate their victories, making Rex’s mariachi band look relatively tame.

Streamer Crossmauz is one of those streamers who had his own crazy celebration. The teen streamer from Germany recently went viral on social media when clips of him playing a full-on rave in his bedroom after winning soccer games. War zone started to spread like wildfire. His celebration included lasers, strobe lights, smoke machines and even pyrotechnics, although he was trying fate with fire considering how small his room clearly is in the clips.

Time will tell what types of celebrations War zone streamers come with the next. However, one thing seems certain, they are likely to be exciting.

Call of Duty: Warzone is currently available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
